Recipe to try at home

Paneer and Pea Masala

Golden cubes of paneer and sweet peas in a gently spiced tomato gravy.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz paneer, cubed
  • 1 1/2 cups peas
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp butter or ghee

Make it

  1. Brown paneer in butter and set aside.
  2. Cook onion and garlic 6 minutes, add spices, then tomato puree and 1/2 cup water; simmer 8 minutes.
  3. Add peas and paneer and simmer 5 minutes more.
