Recipe to try at home

Herb Garden Lemonade

Fresh lemonade steeped with basil and mint snipped from the herb pot.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water plus 4 cups cold water
  • 1/2 cup basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup mint leaves
  • Ice

Make it

  1. Simmer sugar with 1 cup water until dissolved, add herbs and steep 20 minutes; strain.
  2. Stir syrup into lemon juice and cold water.
  3. Serve over ice with fresh herb sprigs.
