The popular Mount Vernon (Ohio) Farmers Market connects local farmers and vendors with shoppers each Saturday morning on the Public Square from 9 am to noon May through October. Our market was ranked #1 in Ohio in the 2021 America’s Farmers Market Celebration.
A deep red, tangy-sweet cooler steeped from dried hibiscus flowers.
Ingredients
1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
8 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
1 cinnamon stick
1 lime, sliced
Ice
Make it
Bring 4 cups water to a boil, add hibiscus and cinnamon, and steep off heat 15 minutes.
Strain, stir in sugar until dissolved, then add remaining cold water.
Chill and serve over ice with lime slices.
