Recipe to try at home

Caprese Pesto Panini

Fresh mozzarella, ripe tomato and basil pesto pressed in crusty bread.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices ciabatta or sourdough
  • 3 tbsp pesto
  • 6 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • Handful of basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Make it

  1. Spread pesto on the bread and layer mozzarella, tomato and basil.
  2. Brush outsides with oil.
  3. Press in a hot skillet under a heavy pan 3 minutes per side until golden and melty.
