Mexican Hot Chocolate Brownies

Fudgy brownies warmed with cinnamon and a tiny kick of cayenne.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Make it

  1. Heat oven to 350°F and line an 8-inch pan.
  2. Melt butter, stir in sugar, then eggs, then cocoa, flour, spices and salt.
  3. Bake 22 to 25 minutes until the center is set; cool before cutting.
