Hilltop Haven is a small family run, disabled veteran owned honeybee and layer chicken farm in Cascade, MD, adjoining Blue Ridge Summit, PA. We offer farm fresh eggs daily and local, raw pure honey. The roadside stand is open 24/7 on the honor system. Our eggs come from a variety of breeds and in a variety of colors. Sweet figs, creamy goat cheese and honey on a crisp flatbread.
Ingredients
2 flatbreads
4 oz goat cheese
6 fresh figs, sliced (or 1/2 cup fig jam)
1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp chopped rosemary
1 cup baby arugula
Make it
Heat oven to 450°F. Spread goat cheese on flatbreads and top with figs, onion and rosemary.
Bake 10 minutes until edges are crisp.
Drizzle with honey and finish with arugula.
