Recipe to try at home

Pan Seared Steak with Herb Butter

A crusty seared steak finished with garlicky herb butter.

Ingredients

  • 2 strip or ribeye steaks, 1 inch thick
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp chopped thyme
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • Salt and pepper

Make it

  1. Mix butter, herbs and garlic. Season steaks well and let sit 15 minutes.
  2. Sear in a smoking-hot oiled skillet 4 to 5 minutes per side until 145°F for medium.
  3. Rest 5 minutes topped with herb butter, then slice.
