Crisp-bottomed pan pizza with bright tomato, fresh mozzarella and basil.
Ingredients
1 lb pizza dough, room temperature
1/2 cup crushed tomatoes
1 clove garlic, grated
8 oz fresh mozzarella, torn
2 tbsp olive oil
Handful of fresh basil
Pinch of salt
Make it
Heat oven to 500°F. Oil a 12-inch cast iron skillet and press dough to the edges.
Mix tomatoes, garlic and salt; spread over dough and add mozzarella.
Bake 15 to 18 minutes until crust is deep golden, then top with basil and a drizzle of oil.
