Our mission: To promote the development of a local sustainable food system. Coffee Creek Farmers Market is in its seventh year of operation. We pride ourselves on being the first 'Producer Only' farmers market in Porter County and sole market in all of NWI to have such standards. That means that ALL vendors grow, make, produce, and create the products for sale. Vendors include local farmers, specialty food producers, food trucks, and artisans.
Silky, slow-cooked peaches with cinnamon, perfect on biscuits or toast.
Ingredients
3 lb ripe peaches, peeled and chopped
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 tbsp lemon juice
Make it
Simmer peaches with 1/4 cup water until soft, about 15 minutes, then blend smooth.
Stir in sugar, spices and lemon and cook on low, stirring often, 30 to 40 minutes until thick.
Cool and refrigerate in jars up to 3 weeks; spread on warm biscuits.
