Recipe to try at home

Cuban Style Pressed Sandwich

Roast pork, ham, Swiss, pickles and mustard pressed until crisp and melty.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf soft French or Cuban bread
  • 8 oz sliced roast pork
  • 6 oz sliced ham
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • Dill pickle slices
  • 3 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 2 tbsp butter

Make it

  1. Split bread, spread with mustard, and layer pork, ham, cheese and pickles.
  2. Butter the outside and cook in a skillet with a heavy pan pressing on top, 3 to 4 minutes per side.
  3. Cook until cheese melts and fillings are hot, then slice on the diagonal.
