Spiced Peach Butter
Silky, slow-cooked peaches with cinnamon, perfect on biscuits or toast.
Ingredients
- 3 lb ripe peaches, peeled and chopped
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
Make it
- Simmer peaches with 1/4 cup water until soft, about 15 minutes, then blend smooth.
- Stir in sugar, spices and lemon and cook on low, stirring often, 30 to 40 minutes until thick.
- Cool and refrigerate in jars up to 3 weeks; spread on warm biscuits.
