Chicken Tikka Skillet

Yogurt-marinated chicken in a creamy, spiced tomato sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb boneless chicken thighs, cubed
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, grated
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger

Make it

  1. Toss chicken with yogurt, half the spices and 1 tsp salt; marinate 20 minutes.
  2. Sear chicken in an oiled skillet until browned. Add garlic, ginger and remaining spices, then tomato sauce.
  3. Simmer 10 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F, then stir in cream.
