Pickled Red Onions
Tangy, bright pink onions that wake up tacos, bowls and sandwiches.
Ingredients
- 1 large red onion, thinly sliced
- 3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp peppercorns
Make it
- Pack onions into a clean jar.
- Warm vinegar, water, sugar, salt and peppercorns until dissolved and pour over the onions.
- Let sit 30 minutes before using; refrigerate up to 2 weeks.
