Carne Asada Tacos

Citrus and garlic marinated steak, seared hot and tucked into corn tortillas.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb flank or skirt steak
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 12 small corn tortillas
  • 1/2 cup diced onion and cilantro

Make it

  1. Marinate steak in juices, garlic, cumin and 1 tsp salt for 30 minutes.
  2. Sear in a very hot pan or grill 4 to 5 minutes per side until 145°F, then rest 5 minutes.
  3. Slice thinly against the grain and serve in warm tortillas with onion and cilantro.
