Sorrel Holiday Punch
A spiced Caribbean-style hibiscus punch with ginger, clove and orange.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups dried hibiscus (sorrel)
- 8 cups water
- 2-inch piece ginger, sliced
- 6 whole cloves
- Peel of 1 orange
- 3/4 cup sugar
Make it
- Boil water with ginger, cloves and orange peel for 5 minutes.
- Add hibiscus, turn off the heat and steep at least 1 hour.
- Strain, sweeten to taste, chill and serve over ice.
