Collard Greens with Smoked Turkey
Slow-simmered collards with smoky turkey and a splash of vinegar.
Ingredients
- 2 bunches collard greens, stems removed and chopped
- 1 smoked turkey wing or leg
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
Make it
- Simmer turkey in broth with onion and garlic for 30 minutes.
- Add collards and pepper flakes, cover and simmer 45 minutes until tender.
- Pull meat from the bone, stir it back in, and finish with vinegar.
