Margherita Skillet Pizza
Crisp-bottomed pan pizza with bright tomato, fresh mozzarella and basil.
Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough, room temperature
- 1/2 cup crushed tomatoes
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, torn
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Handful of fresh basil
- Pinch of salt
Make it
- Heat oven to 500°F. Oil a 12-inch cast iron skillet and press dough to the edges.
- Mix tomatoes, garlic and salt; spread over dough and add mozzarella.
- Bake 15 to 18 minutes until crust is deep golden, then top with basil and a drizzle of oil.
