Ingredients

  • 3 lb ripe peaches, peeled and chopped
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Make it

  1. Simmer peaches with 1/4 cup water until soft, about 15 minutes, then blend smooth.
  2. Stir in sugar, spices and lemon and cook on low, stirring often, 30 to 40 minutes until thick.
  3. Cool and refrigerate in jars up to 3 weeks; spread on warm biscuits.
