Hibiscus Agua Fresca

A deep red, tangy-sweet cooler steeped from dried hibiscus flowers.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 8 cups water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • Ice

Make it

  1. Bring 4 cups water to a boil, add hibiscus and cinnamon, and steep off heat 15 minutes.
  2. Strain, stir in sugar until dissolved, then add remaining cold water.
  3. Chill and serve over ice with lime slices.
