Pan Seared Steak with Herb Butter
A crusty seared steak finished with garlicky herb butter.
Ingredients
- 2 strip or ribeye steaks, 1 inch thick
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 tbsp butter, softened
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 tsp chopped thyme
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- Salt and pepper
Make it
- Mix butter, herbs and garlic. Season steaks well and let sit 15 minutes.
- Sear in a smoking-hot oiled skillet 4 to 5 minutes per side until 145°F for medium.
- Rest 5 minutes topped with herb butter, then slice.
