Brenda C's Cake and Pastry

Ingredients

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tbsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 6 tbsp cold butter, cubed
• 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar
• 1/4 cup chopped chives and parsley
• 3/4 cup heavy cream

Make it

1. Heat oven to 400°F. Whisk flour, baking powder and salt, then rub in butter until pea-sized.
2. Stir in cheese, herbs and cream until a shaggy dough forms; pat into a 1-inch round and cut 8 wedges.
3. Bake on a lined sheet 18 to 20 minutes until golden and cooked through.
