Lavender Lemon Shortbread
Buttery, tender shortbread scented with lemon zest and a whisper of lavender.
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp dried culinary lavender, finely chopped
- 1 lemon, zested
- 1/4 tsp salt
Make it
- Heat oven to 325°F. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy, then add lavender, zest and salt.
- Stir in flour, press into an 8-inch pan and prick with a fork.
- Bake 30 to 35 minutes until pale golden; cut into bars while warm and cool fully.
